About Jas Whitelaw
Jas was accepted into the university of Newcastle in 2017, graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (honours) in 2020. She has previous experience working with an array of local professional sports teams, and had the opportunity to work with the Newcastle Knights Junior squads for their preseason training in 2020 under the mentorship of some very experienced therapists.
You might have seen Jas around the clinic, as prior to coming on as a fully fledged physiotherapist, she dedicated her weekends to covering all things sports related for Maitland Juniors FC, the Thornton Redbacks Senior Northern League One team, and local representative netball competitions.
Jas is passionate about all areas of physiotherapy, however takes a particular interest to sports injuries, acute injury post operative rehabilitation, lower limb biomechanics, prehabilitation and persistent pain management.
In her spare time, Jas trains as a thai boxer and loves exploring the east coast.
Physiotherapy has connected me to a network of like-minded passionate people in environments over-flowing with opportunities. I love working closely with people to achieve their goals, heal, and improve their quality of movement, and find this incredibly gratifying.
I’ve actually been with Terrace Physio Plus for 3 years employed as a sports trainer. I was in second year when the opportunity to work with TPP arose, and I have worked Friday night – Sunday night with local sports teams since then. This opportunity has allowed me to gain invaluable experience and built a solid foundation for my clinical skills. I love that TPP supported me through my degree, and I’m thrilled to be surrounded by a group of like-minded people in the workplace.
