About Bek Downes
Bek graduated at the end of 2012 from the University of Newcastle, and has been working in private practices in the Newcastle and Hunter area since then. She has a certificate in Level One Trigger Point Dry Needling, and has attended courses including foot and ankle biomechanics, fundamentals of hand therapy and Lyn Watson’s Level 1 shoulder course.
Bek has a special interest in treating biomechanical issues associated with sport, and an interest in treating hand injuries. She is a keen runner and touch football player. Her main treatment areas are Runners, Athletes, Sport’s Injuries, Hand Injuries, Foot & Ankle Problems and Dry Needling
I love physiotherapy because pain can impact a person’s whole life, and being able to make a change in someone’s pain can change their life – what a privilege!
